On Sunday, 13 October 2024, we carried out our third underwater cleaning campaign, this time as part of the POSEIDONE project (Interreg Italy-Slovenia). In cooperation with the Oceandiving diving association, we cleaned the seabed in the area below the Belvedere for the first time.
The waste collected showed that the condition of this stretch of sea is very good. We found little rubbish, mostly ceramics and glass, but less plastic and metal. The small amount of rubbish shows that we are becoming more and more aware of the importance of protecting nature and that rubbish should be thrown in the dustbins, not in the sea.
